McKinney is one of the larger cities in North DFW and has a lot of variety to offer. The historic downtown is genuinely charming, with local restaurants, boutiques, and a real sense of place that newer suburbs sometimes lack.
The city has multiple school districts, including McKinney ISD and Frisco ISD in some areas, so it's worth checking which district a specific neighborhood falls in. There are also established neighborhoods with mature trees and character alongside newer developments.
For investors, McKinney has a strong rental market. For buyers, it offers one of the widest ranges of price points in North DFW, from entry-level homes to luxury properties.
